Der Hut
The face of this expressionistic portrait is surrounded by an-all-consuming hat: its brilliant colors and aggressive lines seem to "enter" and dominate the face. Like wise, the face enters and "dominates" not only the hat, but also the surrounding area. Two huge earrings (red and blue) seem to balance the seventh Chakra: a lilac spot. This Chakra (also known as the Crown Chakra) symbolizes pure consciousness: no boundaries between subject and object are felt anymore.
